Payment should be finished four weeks before the arrival of the group.

Cancellation: You may cancel your confirmed booking, but this must be in written letter (email or fax). But if cancellation occurs after your confirmation to book the tour, or if you fail to pay the full cost of the tour within the specified time, you will be liable to pay cancellation charges.

Cancellation charges are as follows:

  • No less than 30 days before arrival: $150 per person
  • 30 to 15 days before arrival: $300 per person
  • 14 to 7 days before arrival: 60% of the full payment per person
  • 6 to 0 days before arrival: 100% of the full payment per person

 Traveler substitutions are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees. After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

Refunding: If you have paid for the tour but then have to cancel it more than 15 days before the start of your tour, we will refund all the payment except the deposit ($300 per person). If cancellation has to be made within 15 days, we will charge some cancellation penalty as well as the deposit, according to how much we have to pay to our suppliers. We will try our best to decrease your loss because we know it's not your purpose to cancel it.

Day1: Arrival Kunming
Arriving at Kunming airport, your tour guide will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Rest day is free at leisure after long flight.

Day2: Kunming tour B/L
Visit the Bamboo Temple which is a Buddhist Monastery set in the tranquil hills just outside Kunming, this complex dates back to the Tang Dynasty (100 years ago). It is famous for its 500 life sized carved Arhats or disciples of Buddha. Next go to Flowers & Birds Market. Famous for its year-round mild climate, Kunming is often called Spring City. The famous Flowers and Birds Market in Jingxing Street is the city's biggest, most attractive shopping market where spring reigns all year. Strolling on the street, you can see shops and stalls of all sorts, especially those featuring flowers, birds, and fish. Then visit Green Lake Park, an urban park designed and created all the way back in the 17th Century. The banks are covered with an abundance of willow trees and dotted with a variety of vibrant lotuses. You will see local people singing, dancing, play Tai-Chi and other activities enjoy themselves in the park. At last visit Yunnan Military Academy, was the first Western-style war college in southwest China established in 1909 (the late Qing Dynasty), and it is a famous military academy in modern history of China.

Day3: Kunming – Dali by driving B/L
Drive 4 hours to Dali, check in the hotel when arrival. Afternoon take a pleasant stroll in Dali Old Town which was the capital city of Nanzhao Kingdom 1000 years ago. Dali Old Town is a truly beautiful stting. The city is the home of the Bai ethnic minority and its ancient quarter still retains its old world charm with narrow cobbled streets and traditional stone architecture within original city walls. Dali is an ancient but pleasant town with well-preserved traditional houses of the Bai ethnic minority. The ancient streets are an ideal place for a gentle walk. Walking in the city, you will enjoy the minority flavored historical relics, ancient buildings and rich minority customs.

Day4: Dali – Shangri-la by driving B/L
In the morning visit Xizhou (the largest Bai village) Morning Market. Also visit Zhoucheng Village, well-known for tie-dye craftsmanship, where you can observe how Bai people make tie-dye products at home. Then drive to Shangri-la, visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge en route, which is believed to be the deepest gorge in the world. From the top of the gorge you look down the steeply angled (70-90 degrees) mountain sides to the rushing Golden Sands (Jingsha) River with its 18 frothing rapids more than 200 meters (about 700 feet) below. Upon arrival, check in the hotel.

Day5: Shangri-la B/L
In the morning take a visit to Songzanlin Tibetan Buddhism Monastery, which is 5 km from the seat of Shangri-la County. Construction began in 1679 and was completed in 1681. It is said that the Fifth Dalai Lama chose the site of the monastery through divination and named it "Gedan Songzanlin Monastery". In 1724, during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, the monastery was renamed the "Guihua Monastery". During its time of greatest prosperity, there were more than 3,000 monks in the temple, now there are still 700 monks inside. Next go to visit Giant Prayer Wheel. Climb a small hill to take a closer look at the giant prayer wheel which reputed to be the largest in the world. You can turn the wheel and you also can get blessings from the monk in the temple next to it. Admiring the view of the town from the top of the hill is quite good experience. Then you will have a Tibetan Family visit. In the evening visit Zhongdian old town with Tibetan old streets and houses and enjoy the local people dancing performed by Tibetan people in the middle square of old town.

Day6: Shangri-la – Lijiang by driving B/L
Then drive to Lijiang and visit Lijiang Old Town, a lovely traditional town with beautiful wooden houses and crisscrossed with streams of mountain water. Lijiang is one of the best preserved ancient towns in China and is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Day7: Lijiang B/L
After breakfast, visit Shuhe Old Town. Shuhe, also "Shaowu" in Naxi language, means "the village at the foot of the high hill". In the past, there behind the village was a high hill named Jubao Hill, so people named the village after the hill. Generation after generation, the village gets its present name. The Ancient Town of Shuhe is located 4 kilometers to the northwest of the Ancient City of Lijiang. Its central part covers an area of about 5 square kilometers. In 1997, the Ancient Town of Shuhe was ranked as an important part of the Ancient City of Lijiang. Next comes Baisha Naxi Village north of Lijiang. Baisha ( White Sand ) is located in the north of Lijiang. It is named this because of the large amount of white sand on the earths surface there. According to history Baisha is the earliest place for the settlement of Naxi nationality after they entered Lijiang basin. In the afternoon, visit Black Dragon Pool and the Dongba Culture Museum. The Dongba are the shaman of the Naxi people and are referred to for all aspects of Naxi life whether marriage, the site of a new house, opening a business, or health matters. The Dongba priests are the only people able to use the unique pictoglyph language which is the only pictoglyph language still in use today.

Day9: Lijiang – Chongqing by flight and embark on Yangtze Cruise: Cruise day 1 B/L
Free till take noon/early afternoon flight to Chongqing and visit Ciqikou Ancient Town which preserved in sprawling modern Chongqing. It’s an old sleepy town built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The town’s name, Ciqikou, means porcelain harbor, and the community prospered from the porcelain trade. Today it offers a glimpse of the peaceful laid-back life in the Sichuan countryside and is somewhere to take a break from the busy commercial world of Chongqing. Afterwards transfer to the pier to join your cruise ship to start your cruise.

Day10: Fengdu and onward: Cruise day 2 B/L/D
This morning we will make a stop for a visit to the Ghost City of Fengdu, famous for its temple dedicated to the King of the Underworld, an association dating back to the Han Dynasty. Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, empty shops and banks.

Day11: Lesser Three Gorges: Cruise day 3 B/L/D
Today will stop off for an excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges which are the three separate valleys of the Daning River: Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge and Emerald Gorge. These lie on the lower reaches of the Daning, which flows into the Yangtze. The gorges are truly spectacular. Sheer cliffs soar up towards the sky from the brown-green water. Mountain tops hover above the ribbon of mist, disconnected from their roots. Its "subtle mountains, clear waters, pretty rocks, dangerous rapids, sharp turns, fantastic caves, and stalactites in various shapes" create the timeless beauty that you see in Chinese landscape paintings. Monkeys, mandarin ducks and other water birds can be seen loitering on big boulders in this area. In addition to the wonderful natural scenery there are a number of historical places of interest along the way, such as a suspended coffin, boat coffin, and remains of ancient plank walkway.

Day12: Cruise day 4: Three Gorges Dam & disembark in Yichang – Shanghai by flight B/L
Today we arrive at the Three Gorges Dam site and take a shore excursion to see this marvel of engineering. It is the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. After lunch onboard we will arrive in Yichang at about 1330. After disembarking the cruise, your guide will meet you and transfer you to the airport for your flight FM9366 (15:35/17:05) to Shanghai. On arrival at Shanghai, transfer to hotel.

Day13: Shanghai B/L
Shanghai is a city that must be seen to be appreciated. Morning visit Yuyuan Garden. Laid out in the 16th century by a Ming official, this small (2 hectares) garden is a delight of pools, pavilions and rock gardens. Strolling through the bazaar surrounding the garden, you will find lines of stores that sell traditional Chinese arts and crafts. Next visit Shanghai Old City. In the afternoon, enjoy walking tour on the Bund. Along the 1.5 km bund, all the grand buildings are over hundred years, each of them has it's own story. Lined with all the colonial buildings, the Bund is a significant area for the recent Chinese history and overlooking Huangpu River. Continue visit Nanjing Road, this is Shanghai's main shopping street, enjoying the fame as "the No. 1 commercial street of China", also it is one of the most prosperous streets in Asia.

Day14: Shanghai – Hangzhou by driving B/L
In the morning drive to Hangzhou. Take a walk to the West Lake, is one of the most beautiful sights in Hangzhou and has inspired Chinese painters for centuries. In Chinese legend West Lake has been referred to a jewel fallen from the heavens. Next visit Six Harmony Pagoda, first built in 970AD during the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127), the Six Harmony Pagoda represents the six Buddhist ordinances, harmonies of heaven, earth, north, south, west, and east. From top of the pagoda there is and impressive view of the Qiantang River.

Day15: Hangzhou – Nanjing by driving B/L
Morning you have the chance to visit the famous Tea Village of Meijiawu to enjoy high-class Drong Well Tea. Meijiawu Tea Village: to understand the brilliant past and equally bright future of tea in China, there is one place where a visit is a must, Meijiawu Village, Hangzhou that is located in the West Lake District. Here elaborate tea taking ceremonies are held, you will be able to understand why partaking in tea ceremonies is of such importance in Chinese culture. Next visit Huqingyu Tang, founded by Hu Xueyuan in 1878, and it pairs up with Beijing Tongrentang as the famous south and north ancient medicine shops of the nation. After lunch, drive to Nanjing.

Day16: Nanjing B/L
In the morning visit Purple Mountain which is known as the “lung of Nanjing” and for good reason. This massive, forested park area situated within Nanjing boasts fresh and cool air compared to the muggy, polluted city center. Next visit Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum which located in the Zhong Mountain Scenic Area in the east suburb of Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. As the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Republic of China, it is considered the Holy land of Chinese people both home and abroad. With deep historical significance, magnificent architecture and beautiful scenery, it is a must see when traveling in Nanjing. After lunch, visit Ming Tomb which is a joint burial tomb of the first Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma in Ming Dynasty. Being one of the largest extant imperial tombs in the ancient times, it has a more than 600 years history.

Day17: Nanjing – Suzhou by driving B/L
In the morning visit Old city Wall. With a circumference of 33.676 km, the city wall in Nanjing built in the period 1366 to 1386 in the beginning of the Ming Dynasty is 12 meters in average height, providing 13,616 crenels and 200 shelters for soldiers. Continue visit Confucius Temple. It has been damaged and rebuilt repeatedly, and was once a center of Confucius study for more than 1500 years. After lunch, drive to Suzhou.

Day18: Suzhou B/L
Morning visit Suzhou Old City. Next visit Master of Nets Garden, It is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive because of its use of space which creates the illusion of an area that is much greater than its actual size. Even more than the architectural achievement is the mood of tranquility and harmony that this humble garden embodies. After lunch take a Canal Cruise. China is known for its silk and Suzhou is most famous place for silk producing. This tour takes you to the No.1 Silk Factory in Suzhou founded in 1926 as a state-owned factory. With this tour, firstly you can get the knowledge of the whole life of a silkworm.
