Payment should be finished four weeks before the arrival of the group.

Cancellation: You may cancel your confirmed booking, but this must be in written letter (email or fax). But if cancellation occurs after your confirmation to book the tour, or if you fail to pay the full cost of the tour within the specified time, you will be liable to pay cancellation charges.

Cancellation charges are as follows:

  • No less than 30 days before arrival: $150 per person
  • 30 to 15 days before arrival: $300 per person
  • 14 to 7 days before arrival: 60% of the full payment per person
  • 6 to 0 days before arrival: 100% of the full payment per person

 Traveler substitutions are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees. After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

Refunding: If you have paid for the tour but then have to cancel it more than 15 days before the start of your tour, we will refund all the payment except the deposit ($300 per person). If cancellation has to be made within 15 days, we will charge some cancellation penalty as well as the deposit, according to how much we have to pay to our suppliers. We will try our best to decrease your loss because we know it's not your purpose to cancel it.

Day1: Arrival Kunming D
Arrive in Kunming, pick up and transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner will be arranged tonight.

Day2: Kunming B/L
Today we will go to Jiaoye Park (suburb park), visit Hump Monument, a memorial honoring those American pilots who flew over Himalaya and gave their lives in World War II). Then we will visit the Bamboo Temple which is a Mahayana Monastery. Set in the tranquil hills just outside Kunming, this complex dates back to the Tang Dynasty. It is famous for its 500 life sized carved Arhats or disciples of Buddha. After lunch, we will set out for Flying Tiger Museum which is in memory of a bunch of American young pilots flying voluntarily from USA to China with the Disney Painting on their planes, helped a lot in the anti-Japanese war for the Chinese and defensed a lot of booming attack from the Japanese on the border of Yunnan and Myanmar under the leading of a great and arrogant general- Clair Lee Chennault. After that we will visit the Golden Temple which is the China largest bronze temple built in 1672.

Day3: Kunming B/L
Morning visit Stone Forest which is one of the top wonders in China. It’s a typical karst formation, the Stone Forest covers an area of more than three hundred square kilometers. Scientific research has shown that what is now the Stone Forest was 270 million years ago an immense expanse of water with a vast stretch of limestone sediment formed over the years on the seafloor. As a result of the crustal movement, the seabed rose gradually and a large piece of land thus came into being. Exposed to rains and winds, eroded by the elements, the strange-looking limestone ranges were shaped by time. About 200 million years ago numerous stone peaks, pillars, and stalagmites rose abruptly from the ground and towered into the sky, extending now as far as the eye can see, looking like a vast forest of stone, hence the name "the Stone Forest". The Heisongyan Scenic Spot (also named as the Naigu Stone Forest) is 8 kilometers from the Scenic Spot of Stone Forest. This area is the major sightseeing area of dark stones which mainly composes of stone pillars, stone pagodas and stone castles. All of these towering stones are displaying a grand view over magical sceneries. The locla flavor Yiliang Roast Duck which famous in whole Yunnan Province will be arranged as lunch.

Day4: Kunming – Dali via Chuxiong 380 km, 6 – 7 hours B/L
Since today we will set for experience of the world famous Old China-Burma Road. We will take few hours journey on trails of Old China-Burma Road. When advancing Japanese troops cut of the American supply lines in southern Myanmar (Burma) during World War Ⅱ, the American General Joseph Stillwell took on the enormous task to build a road from Ledo in India via northern Burma into China to Kunming. Before reaching Dali (19 kilometers away from Dali), we have a stop in Yunnan Yi. Yunnan Yi combined many historic relics such as classical downtown appearance, sites of Southwest Silk Road, the airport built in World WarⅡ, the airfield runway used by Flying Tiger, old sites of plane stable hole and SUA Military Headquarters, well-known Hump Air-route, Yunnan-Burma Highway, Sino-India Oil Delivery Pipe, and the ancient post road, etc. At that time, it is a place for the witness of history as well as the most important Strategic Counter-offensive Base for Allied Forces in the Fareast. For these reasons, the ancient town of Yunnan Yi was recorded into the western history. We will see the Museum for Transportation in the World War Ⅱ; the retired aircrafts of the Flying Tigers, and the aircrafts shelter in the farmers’ land are also special.

Day5: Dali B/L
In the morning visit Xizhou (the largest Bai village) Morning Market. Also visit Zhoucheng Village, well-known for tie-dye craftsmanship, where you can observe how Bai people make tie-dye products at home. Then take a strolling on the Dali Old Town. The history of Dali Old Town can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty when Dali was the capital of Nanzhao Kingdom which is the home to Bai minority. The town, whose format is like a chess board with four gates guarding in the directions of east , south, west and north standing between Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, a natural configuration that seems specially designed for a good bountiful life.

Day6: Dali – Baoshan 200 km, 5 – 6 hours B/L
We leave Dali and drive along Old China-Burma Road through a stunning countryside towards Baoshan. We cross the Mekong River and drive along the original remaining parts of this legendary road. Later in the afternoon arrive in Baoshan.

Day7: Baoshan – Ruili 276 km, 6 – 7 hours B/L
Today we drive along Old China-Burma Road to Ruili, via Longling & Mangshi. Today's drive will be a breathtaking bus riding with a lot of twist and turn mountain road and steep valley views. On the Nujiang River (Salween River) there is a famous Huitong Bridge which was blown by Chinese army in1942 so the Japanese could not cross this river and whole Yunnan province was survived from Japanese's occupation. After cross Nujiang River by descending for 2-3 hours from mountain top to the river bank, before reach Longling, we stop at Songshan Mt. Campaign Site to memory the heroes who contributed their lives during WWⅡ. Located in the east of Longling County and on the west bank of Nujiang River, the Songshan Mountain has steep cliffs and deep valleys on three sides. Only the southern slop is connected to the Gunlongpo ranges. The Old China-Burma road is winding through the waist of mountain, as an extremely steep position and strategically important. The Songshan Mountain was a main battle field in the history of anti-fascism war and the campaigns happened here were called “the Gibraltar Battle in East Asia”. The battle field has been preserved well and was listed as a key cultural relic unit of Yunnan and of China. Continue to Wanding where the old Burma road once crossed the border into Burma. We visit the historically important Wanding-Bridge. Every day thousands of tons of essential war supplies for China crossed that bridge in 1944. After that, continue to Ruili. After dinner, we will visit the prosperous Night Market that is an attraction place of Ruili. There we will meet many businessman from Burma, Laos, Thailand, India, Pakistan and Nepal. Many travelrs come to this market to buy Jade products.

Day8: Ruili – Tengchong 230 km, 3 – 4 hours B/L
Morning sightseeing in Ruili where we can visit the Border Trading Market, Dai Minority Village and the Little Carriage Buddhism Temple that have lasted several hundred years. Then we drive to Tengchong via Longchuan, Yingjiang & Lianghe, enjoy the rainforest scenery on the way.

Day9: Tengchong B/L
Morning visit Tengchong Beihai (North Sea) Wetland Reserve, located in the northwest to the county, 12.5 kilometers from the city, is the only national wetland protection zones in Yunnan Province. It has highly eco-tourism and scientific exploration value. The broad expanse of paddy fields and lakes, bamboo-made bridges and little boats sliding along the river create a quiet and peaceful scenery. Then visit Heshun Township - Homeplace of Overseas Chinese. Heshun Village is one of the most beautiful villages in China with its impressive library of over 70,000 books, well preserved houses and courtyards. There also we will visit the World War II Museum in Heshun Old Town. The museum is the first and biggest one in Yunnan Province with a lot of war relics collected from the civil, among which, there are relics of Japanese, American and allied forces from Yunnan and Burma.

Day10: Tengchong B/L
In the morning take a visit at Graveyard of the National Heroes. There are a total of 9168 ranked and anonymous Chinese and USA soldiers who died in World War II in west Yunnan war field, being buried in this National Martyrs Cemetery. It was built honoring officers and soldiers of China Expeditionary Force who was killed in Anti-Japanese War. With museums, relics and graves of 19 American soldiers who devoted their lives for China in western Yunnan battlefield, the cemetery is the first, the largest and the best preserved cemetery in China for warriors killed at frontline during World War II. Later, we tour this spectacular and different part of China featuring hot springs and geysers. Tengchong is one of China's three major geothermal areas, known as "Land Abounding in Geothermal Resources". There are plenty of springs of hot water and hot vapour, called "Hot Sea". There are quite a number of hot fields as well. Tengchong is a resort where people can travel, take a bath and have medical treatment. The Hot Sea, with an area of 9 square kilometers, lies 20 kilometers away southwest of the county seat and in the center of the geothermal area. There are over 80 springs of hot water and hot vapour, of which there are 14 spring whose temperature reaches 90℃.

Day11: Tengchong – Chuxiong 488 km, 7 – 8 hours by express way B/L/D
Today drive to Chuxiong by express way, have lunch at Dali. We will cross over the Gaoligong Mountain which is the National Reserve for primitive forests and wild animals. We will have few stops en route for rest and photos. Farewell dinner will be arranged this evening.

Day12: Chuxiong – Kunming (165 km, 2.5 hours) & Departure B
Drive back to Kunming by express way, and connect flight for departure. End of service.
