Payment should be finished four weeks before the arrival of the group.

Cancellation: You may cancel your confirmed booking, but this must be in written letter (email or fax). But if cancellation occurs after your confirmation to book the tour, or if you fail to pay the full cost of the tour within the specified time, you will be liable to pay cancellation charges.

Cancellation charges are as follows:

  • No less than 30 days before arrival: $150 per person
  • 30 to 15 days before arrival: $300 per person
  • 14 to 7 days before arrival: 60% of the full payment per person
  • 6 to 0 days before arrival: 100% of the full payment per person

 Traveler substitutions are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees. After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

Refunding: If you have paid for the tour but then have to cancel it more than 15 days before the start of your tour, we will refund all the payment except the deposit ($300 per person). If cancellation has to be made within 15 days, we will charge some cancellation penalty as well as the deposit, according to how much we have to pay to our suppliers. We will try our best to decrease your loss because we know it's not your purpose to cancel it.

Day1: Arrival Guilin
Arriving in Guilin, take taxi to hotel, our guide will welcome you at the hotel.
Overnight in Guilin
Day2: Guilin – Yangshuo B/L/D
After breakfast, drive to Yangdi dock and take bamboo raft to visit Li River. Arrive at Xingping and stroll in Xingping Ancient Town. After that, dirve to Yangshuo. You will have a bicycle trip there. Yangshuo countryside provides a very good chance for the tourists to discover the real beauty of Yangshuo. The cycling is sublime: easy flat rural roads and paved country roads will take you through numerous local villages, along bamboo lined rivers and rice fields and up close to local people and their daily lives with our local guide. It isn't a strenuous tour and we can alter distances to suit your abilities and wants. You may get the chance to visit the local family if you want. Tonight, welcome dinner with local flavor will be served. After dinner, go watch cormorant fishing on Li River (Optional).

Day3: Yangshuo B/L
In the morning, you will take chance to have Cooking Class. Yangshuo cooking class offers you the opportunity to learn how to cook real local food. Their skilled and friendly teachers who speak fluent English would love to impart the stories and secrets of Chinese cuisine to you in a friendly fun atmosphere. They emphasizes a teaching style based on actually doing rather than watching. You will be taken to the local markets to learn about the ingredients that will use in the dishes. In the kitchen, each one of you will have an individual wok and bench, learning by doing. Then you will have a Calligraphy Class to learn Chinese calligraphy. This afternoon is free for your leisure at West Street. In the evening enjoy the Show of Impression Liusanjie (Optional).
Overnight in Yangshuo
Day4: Yangshuo – Sanjiang B/L
After breakfast, drive to Sanjiang. Sanjiang in Guangxi province is a county inhabited by the South Dong, one of the two subgroups of the Dong ethnic minority. A short drive away from Sanjiang will take us to Chengyang, a quaint little village with one of the largest Fengyuqiao (Wind and Rain Bridges) in the region. Here we will explore the villages on foot.

Day5: Sanjiang – Zhaoxing B/L
Pick up and drive to Zhaoxing, visit one of the largest Dong villages in the region, with more than 800 households and a population of 4000. There are five drum towers and five roofed bridges belonging to five big families living in the village. We can enjoy some free time in the village or hike about 3hr to reach Tang’an, one of the four eco-museums in Guizhou province.

Day6: Zhaoxing – Kaili B/L
Drive from Zhaoxing to Kaili via Xia-rong High Way. 2/3 of this newly-built high way is either tunnels or bridges. We’ll see marvelous mountain views and we’ll also stop on the way to visit Yintan, a lovely quaint Dong village hidden in the mountains.

Day7: Kaili B/L
After breakfast, we’ll drive along the beautiful Bala River to visit Jidao Miao Village which represents the long-skirt subgroup / Datang, a Miao village with an aquatic granary and the women’s “Mini skirt”. Then visit Paika Village to learn about Lusheng—the Miao people’s most important musical instrument. Last, visit Miao’s rice storage on water at Datang Village. Miao style wooden houses are comfortable but dangerous, too. Once there is one house on fire, the whole village will be burnt down. Local villagers in Datang build small houses above water for rice storage. The acquatic granary will protect their rice away from fire, rats and other insects. Even their houses by any chance are burnt down, they at least still get their food saved.

Day8: Kaili – Guiyang – Kunming B/L
Today in the morning visit Ethnic Museum and Matang Village, a quiet village inhabited by the Gejia minority, where we will learn about their culture, of which very little is known. The Gejia although classified as Miao, is in fact a separate group. You will see the typical costumes, houses, embroidery and batik making. Drive back to Guiyang in late afternoon. After dinner, you will be transferred to the railway station to catch your train to Kunming and farewell to Guizhou guide & driver. Trip in Guizhou ends.

Day9: Kunming – Dali (Bai minority area, 310 km, 3.5 hours by driving) B/L
In the morning arrive in Kunming, you will be reansferred to hotel for breakfast and a short rest. Then drive to Dali. After arrival, take a stroll in Dali Old Town. The history of Dali Old Town can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty when Dali was the capital of Nanzhao Kingdom which is the home to Bai minority. The town, whose format is like a chess board with four gates guarding in the directions of east , south, west and north stands between Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, a natural configuration that seems specially designed for a good bountiful life.

Day10: Dali – Shangri-la (Tibetan minority area, 400 km, 6 hours by driving) B/L
After breakfast visit morning market in Xizhou Bai village, then drive to Shangri-la/Zhongdian. In the evening visit Zhongdian old town with Tibetan old streets and houses and enjoy the local people dancing performed by Tibetan people in the middle square of old town.

Day11: Shangri-la – Lijiang (Naxi minority area, 200 km, 3.5hours by driving) B/L
Morning visit Songzanlin Tibetan Buddhism Monastery, which is 5 km from the seat of Shangri-la County. Construction began in 1679 and was completed in 1681. It is said that the Fifth Dalai Lama chose the site of the monastery through divination and named it "Gedan Songzanlin Monastery". In 1724, during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, the monastery was renamed the "Guihua Monastery". During its time of greatest prosperity, there were more than 3,000 monks in the temple, now there are still 700 monks inside. Next have a Tibetan family visiting with a Tibetan lunch. In the afternoon drive to Lijiang and visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge en route, which is believed to be the deepest gorge in the world. From the top of the gorge you look down the steeply angled (70-90 degrees) mountain sides to the rushing Golden Sands (Jingsha) River with its 18 frothing rapids more than 200 meters (about 700 feet) below. Upon arrival, check in the hotel.

Day12: Lijiang B/L
Morning walking in Lijiang Old Town, a lovely traditional town with beautiful wooden houses and crisscrossed with streams of mountain water. Lijiang is one of the best preserved ancient towns in China and is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Then visit Dongba Cultural Museum in Black Dragon Pool Park In the Dongba Museum, you can see the pictograph that was developed by the Naxi Nationality 1,000 years ago. This pictograph is still being used today. The Black Dragon Pool whose name comes from the waters which sparkle like jade and are as clear as spring water. The entire park is green with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. Under the Suocui Bridge, a waterfall creates a constant roar as it cascades downstream. Then visit Baisha Naxi Village. Baisha (White Sand) is located in the north of Lijiang. It is named this because of the large amount of white sand on the earths surface there. According to history Baisha is the earliest place for the settlement of Naxi nationality after they entered Lijiang basin. Last visit Shuhe Ancient Town. Shuhe, also "Shaowu" in Naxi language, means "the village at the foot of the high hill". In the past, there behind the village was a high hill named Jubao Hill, so people named the village after the hill. Generation after generation, the village gets its present name. The Ancient Town of Shuhe is located 4 kilometers to the northwest of the Ancient City of Lijiang. Its central part covers an area of about 5 square kilometers. In 1997, the Ancient Town of Shuhe was ranked as an important part of the Ancient City of Lijiang. The rest of time is free for your leisure.

Day13: Lijiang – Kunming via Shuanglang B/L
Today we will drive back to Kunming via Shuanglang, a beautiful little fishing town beside Erhai Lake of Dali. You will visit some fishing villages there. Erhai Lake is the second largest highland lake next to Dianchi. The lake covers an area of 250 square kilometers and is located about two kilometers east of Dali. After arrival in Kunming, check in hotel.

Day14: Excursion to Stone Forest B/L/D
Morning drive to visit Bamboo Temple which dates back to the Tang dynasty with 500 colorful clay Buddhas. At lunch, try famous Yiliang Roast Duck and then visit Stone Forest ( Shilin in Chinese, 89 km, 1.5 hours ), 80 ha. site of fantastic limestone formations created during the Permian Era when the sea covered this area. Shilin is on the World Heritage List and managed by the traditional owners the Yi people. It is famous in China and unique in the world. We will visit the Stone Forest for 2.5 hours. Back to Kunming and farewell dinner will be arranged tonight.. In evening, suggest to enjoy the China famous national show Dynamic Yunan (Optional).

Day15: Departure Kunming B
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
